From the President

The new year is upon on us, and as always, the Logan Alumni Board is hard at work striving to make it a great one! My name is Gary Germanson, class of 1965, and I have been elected to be the new board President. My wife, Pat, is a Logan graduate of 1975, and my three daughters also attended Logan, 2 graduating from the classes 1996 and 2000. I can now say, that with my father graduating from Logan and with a granddaughter in this year’s freshman class, we will be a fourth generation Logan graduate family! I am retired from the City of La Crosse and the military. I enjoy spending time at my hobby farm and volunteering to help raise money for students at Logan. Please join me in making this new year a successful one! Onward Logan!

Database Update

Our database is continually being updated. The majority of the information in our database is over 20 years old. Many of you and your classmates have moved or have had phone number changes, and email address changes. This is a constant problem for the association and classes who wish to find their classmates for reunions etc. If you have made some changes in the above areas email to apprise us of your new information. If you are on a reunion committee and have made updates for your class please pass email that also. Working together we can solve these issues and help each other out at the same time. Thanks for the help!

If we did, we apologize. We get our information from the La Crosse Tribune and from people that let us know of a passing of a Logan Family member or Friend of Logan. You can help us out by emailing us when Logan Family members have passed away. We may also be missing a date of graduation for some individuals. If you have that information please help us out also. Consider a Gift in your Will!

Perhaps you have been thinking about giving a special gift to the Logan Scholarship Fund to show your support for the school where you received your foundation for your adult life. As expenses for education continue to rise, more students need extra help from scholarships. Sometimes alumni decide to make serious donations to the association through a will. The Alumni Association has an endowment at Trustpoint which continues to grow with fund raising, investments, and special donations. We urge you to consider a bequest to the endowment fund in your will. When revising or making a will, having a discussion with your attorney can start the process of a meaningful impact on scholarships for Logan students or special projects at Logan. For further information contact Dan Wilhelm, the association treasurer. Remember that your donations are tax deductible for your estate.
